Distribution systems have been a substantial part of the Portland Water Bureau and Vodokanal collaboration from the start.
Everyone recognizes that it does not do much good to improve the water treatment system if the drinking water becomes recontaminated
in the distribution system due to infiltration or biological growth within the pipes. To the right, Vladimir Kim of Vodokanal
(left) is pictured with Rick Lapp of the Portland Water Bureau at the working end of a new water distribution pipe installation in
